Episode 12
Lauren Graham
She played Dax's TV sister on Parenthood. Lauren has also been in a bunch of stuff that everybody knows. Gilmore Girls, Bad Santa, Evan Almighty and many TV shows are under her belt. It's always nice when family drops by, even when it's TV family.
What's this all about?
What did they say?
- @5:29 “The guy who I bought Kristen’s engagement ring off of is now, he’s a national celebrity.” That time Dax thought Neil Lane wasn’t a famous jewelry designer. He may have met him behind an Arby’s to buy Kristen’s ring. This may have been the same Arby’s Zach Braff met Natalie Portman at to discuss Garden State.
- @37:58 “Do you think that I grew up with the Kardashians?” Lauren talks about how it was hard to find actresses to look up to when she was younger. She mostly looked up to The Fonz, heeeeeey!
- @46:09 “I was in an acappella group.” Lauren claims her all girl acappella group was cool. Dax sounds doubtful.
- @1:05:03 “I never heard of that, is that a PBS program.” Lauren talks about her time working in front of a live studio audience when she did Seinfeld. Dax has never heard of it.
- @1:07:36 “He wanted to play board games, is that part of this date?” Lauren explains how she came to start dating her co-star on Parenthood, Peter Krause. The politeness of Minnesota is discussed.
- @1:21:54 “There’s so many ways to feel bad about yourself.” Lauren talks about her outlook on life and specifically here how social media affects our views on how life should be thanks to people broadcasting carefully curated lives.
- @1:25:51 “Are you vegan now?” Lauren asks Dax what his current diet consists of now. Dax has to have a special diet due to his arthritis. His diet has no eggs, no dairy and no gluten. He also only eats Turkey, Lamb and Bison meat. So, that would be a no to the vegan question.
